Frequently Asked Questions
You're doing your best, and it's okay to have questions. Here is everything you need to know as we start this journey together.
Why online sessions over in-person counselling?
Online sessions allow you to find support from the comfort of your home, fitting seamlessly into your already full schedule without the need for travel or childcare. It creates an accessible, virtual sanctuary where you can breathe freely.
Is my privacy protected during our virtual meetings?
Absolute confidentiality is paramount. Our sessions are held on a secure, PIPEDA- and PHIPA-compliant virtual platform to protect your sensitive information and ensure our conversations remain private. With your consent, I use AI-assisted note-taking (also privacy and security compliant) to allow me to focus on our conversation during sessions. You can opt out of AI notes and will still be provided with the same standard of care.
Who exactly are your counseling services for?
My practice is dedicated to parents navigating burnout, overwhelm, and the many emotional complexities of parenthood. Whether you are a new mom or have older children, this is a space for your resilience to grow.
What is the pricing range for a session in CAD?
Session fees are $190 CAD for a 50-minute session, whether it's virtual or "Walk N Talk". Credit or debit cards accepted. A receipt will be issued that you can provide to your insurance.
How long does a typical counseling session last?
Standard individual sessions are 50 minutes long. This duration is curated to provide you with a meaningful exhale and sufficient time to focus entirely on your own path.
What do I need to prepare for my first session?
Simply ensure you have a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable, stable internet, and a dedicated window of time for yourself. No prior preparation is required; come as you are.
